What is Viagra?
The famous Viagra (blue pill) from Pfizer, it is a treatment for erectile dysfunction. Viagra helps people who have problems getting erections or keeping erections during sex. How does Viagra work?
It’s a very complex mechanism, but simply put, it traps blood from escaping from your penis when you need an erection - this is why a lot of people can’t get or keep an erection - because the blood doesn’t stay.
Which dose?
Viagra comes in 25mg, 50mg and 100mg. You would be advised to use the lowest dose first and only go up in dose if it doesn’t work for you - most men take Viagra 25mg and it works perfectly. If you take the stronger doses, it can potentially give you headaches and sore eyes for a while - so start low, and only increase if you have to.

When do I take Viagra?
You take one Viagra pill about 45mins to an hour before sex. Once it is in your system, it will not give you an instant erection, rather it will give you an erection at the time you need it. Once you have taken Viagra, it will work for about 3-4 hours.
Is Viagra for me?
If you have problems getting or keeping an erection and do not suffer from heart problems or anything else that may be contra to taking it (our doctor will assess you).

How does it differ from the others?
There are other drugs such as Cialis, Levitra and Uprima available - however the first two whilst very good, may not give you a stronger erection as Viagra - however, some men may argue that. Cialis and Levitra work for longer, have chances of fewer side effects, however Viagra is still the number one treatment - people trust it, and people have been using it since 1998 - where the others are recent issues. Uprima is better if you have problems swallowing as it dissolves under the tongue and it works differently as it works on the brain.

Where can I buy it from legally?
Street:
You may have heard of people selling it on the street, however this is very dangerous - so never take that route as you will not know if you are buying something that could harm you.
Pharmacy:
You can obtain a private prescription from your doctor for about Ј20 and pay him for it, and then pay the pharmacist about Ј40 for the medicine and do it that way. You may be able to get it on the NHS, however, most doctors will not issue it unless it’s the most extreme case - and usually only when you suffer from conditions such as Diabetes as well as the erectile dysfunction.

There are lots of websites selling Viagra on the internet. You should be very careful on the following
a) Is there a genuine medical consultation process with a GMC doctor?
b) Is there a genuine RPS regulated pharmacy dispensing from the UK?
c) Is the website genuine in terms of charging and delivering?

e) Is your Viagra the real thing - a lot of Viagra purchased on the internet is fake.
